Dead Iraqi Gays Are On America's Conscience

Carter Todd takes the Blame America First meme to a whole new level of retched stupidity.

Believe it or not, life was actually better for gays under Saddam Hussein, who essentially had a "don't ask, don't tell" policy.

No other reason or example is given of the sunshiny, kite-flying, gay utopia Saddam's Iraq was before Bush invaded. No mention of the actual culprits who carried out the murders. No. But it's our fault. A free Iraq is bad because it frees up religious zealots to kill. If anyone can figure out that logic, please enlighten me. Also note the authors almost glowing praise for how compassionate Saddam's DADT policy was. Interesting to see that a DADT policy in Iraq is not only acceptable, but preferable when it comes to the entire gay population of a country, but DADT here in the states specifically for military purposes is an outrage.

In another stunning display of hypocrisy (be sure to read the comments), American homosexuals have shown just how oblivious they are when it really comes down to equality.

In the midst of all this happy "we're-all-human-beings" talk coming from Obama on his European vacation, you'd think the gay community who put him in office would've picked up a few crumbs of the warm-fuzzy globalism that have fallen on the table.  


But I guess courts ruling in favor of gay marriage in Iowa is more news-worthy than fellow gays being murdered (yet again) in the Middle East.

And here I thought America was supposed to be the bigoted one....
