Obama Begins Campaign to Throw Gen. McChrystal Under the Bus
... we find ourselves staring in the face of military defeat in Afghanistan, which will lead to a cascading series of events up to and including a collapsed Pakistan followed by an Islamofascist war against India run out of Islamabad.
Al Qaeda's Diminished Role Stirs Afghan Troop Debate
Al Qaeda has a diminished role? I thought we just lost eight American troops. I guess Al Qaeda is diminished as much as the recession.
I've never been a fan of long wars or nation building. We should have just nuked the whole of Afghanistan on September 12th. I don't mean that as hyperbole. We are at war. In a war you break and vaporize things, and kill people.

Go FLAG Yourself!

Flag Yourself Campaign: From Steven Crowder at Big Hollywood
Dear White House Snitch Commissar (flag@whitehouse.gov),

I wish to turn myself in. I have negative feelings and thoughts about the health care legislation which means I obviously have no idea what's good for me. I realize now that I should leave highly personal health care decisions to the federal government instead. While I'm at it, I should also admit that I was and still am against the stimulus. I admit now that the federal government will probably spend my money better than I ever could.

I'd also like to turn in my friends and relatives, from whom I have heard what you have called "disinformation," directly contradicting what the administration has been telling us. They embarrass themselves with their blatant opposition to President Obama and the Democratic Party. They flaunt their First Amendment rights as though they are unalienable!

While I'm at it, I should mention that my pharmacist was saying negative things about the health care legislation. I also heard two ladies discussing it at the grocery store the other day with obvious reservations. I didn't get their names, but the store is in Greenville on Verdae Boulevard. My dentist, hair stylist and even a few neighbors have all been saying how they think the legislation is a bad idea. It's all been in casual conversations, but I think that counts. I don't think my dog is wild about the plan either, but she drinks from mud puddles so I'll cut her some slack.

I wish to thank you for what you're doing. People who have no idea what's good for them may never admit it, so turning them in is really the only option. According to recent polls, around 52% of the United States' citizenry are such people, so you've got a lot of work to do.

Good luck.

Politics Often Requires Stitches...

Wednesday, August 5, 2009

Remember people - if Obama or ACORN does it then it's a sedate "community organized" meeting. If a conservative or conservative group does it... IT'S A MOB! RUN! RUN!

Mob Rule or Democracy in Action? Health Care Debate Focuses on Opponents Over Substance
Democrats are stepping up their campaign against opponents of health care reforms, depicting town hall audiences protesting a Democratic-sponsored bill as angry mobs duped into hostile actions by special interest groups.

The Democratic National Committee released a Web video and e-mail on Wednesday blasting opponents of the 10-year, $1 trillion plan.

Titled "Enough of the Mob," the ad warns that the "right wing extremist base" is back after losing the presidential election, a series of legislative battles and the confidence of Americans. [...]

Republicans have seized on the charges.

"Instead of acknowledging the widespread anger millions of Americans are feeling this summer toward Democrat-controlled Washington, Washington Democrats are trying to dismiss it as a fabrication," House Minority Leader John Boehner, R-Ohio, said in a statement. "That isn't likely to sit well with Americans outside of Washington who are struggling and wondering when their elected leaders are going to wake up and change course."

The Republican National Committee fired back with an e-mail titled "THE MOB? Hey Democrats, They're Called The American People." The e-mail goes on to list a series of links to stories and polls revealing growing doubts about Obama's top domestic priority and his economic policies.

And the Libertarian Party said Obama, a former community organizer, should think twice before approving a campaign that attacks communities for organizing, even if it's against him.

"Libertarians find it ironic a community organizer is now using the government to try and stop people from organizing their communities," Libertarian National Committee spokesman Donny Ferguson said in a statement.

"Instead of using official edicts to smear, slander and intimidate everyday Americans into silence, Democrats should listen to the majority of Americans and drop their plans for a radical government takeover of their health care."
My opinion? If these are organized groups getting out to protest this health care scam - it's about damn time! that conservatives & libertarians got their act together. How long have Democrats used Unions as a personal "flash mob"? Decades? A century? Not to mention ACT, Moveon.org, the Kossacks, and other Soros funded armies. Politics is rough and tumble - and filled with dead smelly fish as Rahm hath shown us - so if Dems can't stand the sight of needles and scalpels... and blood... maybe they should get out of the operating room.

Audience Shouts Down Sebelius, Specter at Health Care Town Hall in Philadelphia

This was truly an "engaging conversation" as Kathleen Sebelius would say. The look on her face and Specter's was priceless. Sebelius even let her leftist haughtiness show a few times especially when she was trying to defend Specter. More video and a good report from Andrew C. Monaghan of the blog Panzramic.

Freedom Means Consequences... And I Wouldn't Have It Any Other Way

Saturday, August 1, 2009

Mark Steyn: No turning back from Obamacare
...health care is the fastest way to a permanent left-of-center political culture. That's its attraction for an ambitious president: It redefines the relationship between the citizen and the state in a way that hands all the advantages to statists – to those who believe government has a legitimate right to regulate human affairs in every particular. [...]

Freedom is messy. In free societies, people will fall through the cracks – drink too much, eat too much, buy unaffordable homes, fail to make prudent provision for health care and much else. But the price of being relieved of all those tiresome choices by a benign paternal government is far too high.

Government health care would be wrong even if it "controlled costs." It's a liberty issue. I'd rather be free to choose, even if I make the wrong choices.
Amen...

Obama's Aunt Resurfaces in Boston Public Housing
President Obama's Kenyan aunt has returned to public housing in South Boston as she awaits a deportation hearing early next year, the Boston Herald reported Friday.

Zeituni Polly Onyango, the half-sister of Obama's father, been staying with relatives in Cleveland but moved back to Boston late last year. She moved into her current complex this month.

"Beggars can't be choosers," Onyango, 57, told the newspaper Thursday.

Victoria Jackson Speaks Truth To Power

Tuesday, July 7, 2009

Down is Up, Unfair is Fair and Ignorance is Bliss
I woke up in the middle of the night and realized the trick.

You see, evil doesn’t just show up. It disguises itself as something nice; so you’ll let it in. It tricks you.

Murdering babies is called Pro-Choice. Unfair Censorship is called The Fairness Doctrine. Outlandish Taxes and the Death of Freedom is called Cap & Trade. Sounds like Fish & Chips. You gotta figure out the trick.
Victoria, I think you're absolutely correct. Hitler was a statist. Stalin was a statist. Obama and today's leftists (masquerading as "liberal") are statists. They all place the sovereignty of "The State" over the individual. They all eschew individual liberty. If that means you or I need to do without electricity for 10 hours a day - so be it. If that means the State needs 99% of your income in order to "do good" - so be it. If that means a baby, or the sick, or the old need to die for the good of the State - so be it. They won't ever say it in such blunt terms, but that's what their "welfare" and "choices" and "compassion" boil down to.

Elecciones Por Hugo

Monday, June 29, 2009

We interrupt the death of Michael Jackson to bring you some slightly more important information.

Need to win an election by hook or by crook? Call Hugo Chavez.

Honduras Defends Its Democracy
That Mr. Zelaya acted as if he were above the law, there is no doubt. While Honduran law allows for a constitutional rewrite, the power to open that door does not lie with the president. A constituent assembly can only be called through a national referendum approved by its Congress [...]

Honduras is fighting back by strictly following the constitution. The Honduran Congress met in emergency session yesterday and designated its president as the interim executive as stipulated in Honduran law. It also said that presidential elections set for November will go forward. The Supreme Court later said that the military acted on its orders. It also said that when Mr. Zelaya realized that he was going to be prosecuted for his illegal behavior, he agreed to an offer to resign in exchange for safe passage out of the country. Mr. Zelaya denies it.

Many Hondurans are going to be celebrating Mr. Zelaya's foreign excursion. Street protests against his heavy-handed tactics had already begun last week. On Friday a large number of military reservists took their turn. "We won't go backwards," one sign said. "We want to live in peace, freedom and development." [...]

For Hondurans who still remember military dictatorship, Mr. Zelaya also has another strike against him: He keeps rotten company. Earlier this month he hosted an OAS general assembly and led the effort, along side OAS Secretary General José Miguel Insulza, to bring Cuba back into the supposedly democratic organization. [...]

The struggle against chavismo has never been about left-right politics. It is about defending the independence of institutions that keep presidents from becoming dictators. This crisis clearly delineates the problem. In failing to come to the aid of checks and balances, Mrs. Clinton and Mr. Insulza expose their true colors.
This was not a coup against Zelaya. It was the prevention of a coup by Zelaya. The military refused to help him improperly change the constitution. The Congress, Attorney General, and the Supreme Court all said the President was acting illegally. Now Congress has constitutionally appointed the next President according to the line of succession, and the next elections will not be disrupted. If anyone was attempting a "coup" it was Mr. Zelaya and his "Ballots by Hugo." Just look at who's supporting him: Chavez, Ortega, Castro, and the Obama administration.

The Kowtow In Cairo

Thursday, June 4, 2009

Weak as water, President Obama's "World Mea Culpa Tour" stopped in Cairo today. There, he drew a daft moral equivalence between the self-inflicted suffering of the Palestinians and their self-styled war of genocide against Israel, and the Holocaust that was brought on the Jewish people during World War II.

Either ignorantly or intentionally, Obama failed to mention that the Palestinians could have had a nation-state of their own at any time from 1948 on but chose instead to follow terrorists - posing as leaders and friends of Jimmy Carter - thus ensuring a life of poverty and violence.

The American President did a great disservice today not only to Israel (our only real, democratic ally in the middle east), but also the Palestinians. By watering down the truth in a vain effort to "share the wealth" of blame he ensured that those who perpetrate violence won't have to take responsibility for their acts and allowed them to keep hiding beneath a burqa of feigned innocence.

Finally, Obama kicked the chair out from under his own nation by declaring that America won't be taking a firm stand against the Arab nations such as Syria and Iran and groups like Hezbollah, Fatah, and Hamas as they seek the ultimate means to destroy the very land they claim.

These are two good articles on B. Hussein Obama's speech:

Obama: Iran Has Right To Nuclear Power
President Barack Obama reiterated that Iran may have some right to nuclear energy _ provided it takes steps to prove its aspirations are peaceful.

In a BBC interview broadcast Tuesday, Obama also restated plans to pursue direct diplomacy with Tehran to encourage it to set aside any ambitions for nuclear weapons it might harbor.

Iran has insisted its nuclear program is aimed at generating electricity. But the U.S. and other Western governments accuse Tehran of seeking atomic weapons.

"Without going into specifics, what I do believe is that Iran has legitimate energy concerns, legitimate aspirations. On the other hand, the international community has a very real interest in preventing a nuclear arms race in the region," Obama said.

The comments echo remarks Obama made in Prague last month in which he said his administration would "support Iran's right to peaceful nuclear energy with rigorous inspections" if Iran proves it is no longer a nuclear threat.

Iranian state television described the news as Obama recognizing the "rights of the Iranian nation," a phrase typically used to refer to Iran's nuclear program.
Dear God protect us from ourselves and the children that were elected to lead us.

This is funny: Obama laughs at [Wanda Sykes'] Rush "Oxycontin" Jab
She finished her Rush bit with: "l hope this country fails?" I hope his kidney fails!"
This requires an apology: Golf Analyst Feherty Sorry for Pelosi Joke in Dallas Magazine
"From my own experience visiting the troops in the Middle East, I can tell you this though," Feherty wrote toward the end of his column.

"Despite how the conflict has been portrayed by our glorious media, if you gave any U.S. soldier a gun with two bullets in it, and he found himself in an elevator with Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and Osama bin Laden, there's a good chance that Nancy Pelosi would get shot twice, and Harry Reid and bin Laden would be strangled to death."

Feherty, a former Ryder Cup player who grew up in Northern Ireland, has gone to Iraq over Thanksgiving the past two years to visit with U.S. troops, and he created a foundation to help wounded soldiers.
In case you're keeping score...
