Just When You Thought Algore Couldn't Get Stupider,

On the American Clean Energy & Security Act:

“I believe this legislation has the moral significance equivalent to that of the civil rights legislation of the 1960s and the Marshall Plan of the late 1940s,” Gore declares in his written testimony. “By repowering America with a transition to a clean energy economy and ending our dangerous over-reliance on carbon based fuels, this bill will simultaneously address the climate crisis, the economic crisis, and the national security threats that stem from our dependence on foreign oil.”

This should be considered an outrage and an insult to the American people, but it won't.

Aside from the obvious outrage of comparison to the civil rights legislation, it was free markets which rebuilt Europe after WWII. The Marshall Plan had little to do with it. Further, if the liberals actually gave a crap about clean energy and the economy, they'd allow for the construction (and employment required) of nuclear power facilities.

Between smaller cars and deaths from CAFE standards, it seems that the enviro-commies are more interested in killing off the "surplus population". This line is particularly funny:

Given the nonstop pronouncements we've been hearing about the green promise of high-efficiency cars, these results were shocking to some.

But not to those who can think clearly with logic instead of feelings.
