Well... He's Trying

Last week, amidst The Obama's latest attempt to quit the teleprompter cold turkey, former late-night star David Letterman asked that we all give the poor guy a break because he inherited this financial mess, and Bush is a tool and blah, blah, blah, and hey... "at least he's trying."

It was a poignant moment for Letterman, who, for the past 8 years, never once hesitated to take a shot at Obama's predecessor.  And nor should he have.  Bush was a gold mine.

But for whatever reason, Obama is above late-night heckling, despite providing his fair share of punchlines.  

His latest zinger is an addition to what is quickly becoming B's favorite funny faux pas, the United Kingdom.  After bestowing the Prime Minister with wrongly formatted mix of DVDs, Obama one-ups himself by graciously gifting the Queen with an iPod.

It's hip.  It's fresh.  It's nuanced.

Bitch of it is, she's already got one.
